Glass Veil 40g

Glass Veil 40g is a lightweight, non-woven material made from fine E-glass fibers arranged in a uniform, random structure. With an areal weight of approximately 40 g/m², it provides an optimal balance between flexibility and surface coverage, making it an ideal solution for creating smooth, resin-rich layers in composite applications.

The veil is characterized by excellent resin absorption and fast impregnation, which improves interlaminar bonding and enhances the overall durability of composite structures. It effectively prevents print-through of underlying fabrics, reduces micro-cracks, and ensures a smooth, uniform surface finish. Additionally, it offers good resistance to corrosion, moisture, and aging, making it suitable for demanding environments.

Glass Veil 40g is widely used in industries such as automotive, marine, construction, and energy. Typical applications include surface finishing of FRP components, corrosion-resistant linings, pipes and tanks, insulation systems, and composite laminates. It is compatible with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins and can be used in processes such as hand lay-up, filament winding, pultrusion, and vacuum infusion.
